Katarzynka Torun and WKK Wroclaw are the only unbeaten teams after two days in the U-18 Polish Final Round tournament, held in Torun (Poland). Their stars shined again yesterday, adding the second win in two days. Hosts beat Gdynia with good performances of Liberty (NCAA) signee Tomasz Gielo ('93) and big Przemek Karnowski ('93) -also with NCAA interest-, while WKK defeat Zastal Zielona with Piotr Niedzwiedzki ('93) becoming unstoppable. Let's see what happened.
Group A
-Torun 64 Gdynia 54: Second win for hosts behind huge performances of their duo. Tomasz Gielo ('93) tallied 23 points (8/15 FG), pulled down 14 rebounds and made 2 steals, while Przemek Karnowski ('93) -at the pic- added 16 points, 24 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both prospects didn't rest during all 40 minutes. Was a tied contest, after arriving with a little local advantage at half time (+2). Guard Robert Kolka ('93) ended as the best scorer at losing effort (the only player with more than seven points) with 23 and 6/12 from downtown. He added 15 boards and 3 assists.
-Trefl Sopot 100 Korona Krakow 58: Sopot added its first win in the event crashing Korona by 42 points. Guard Filip Put ('93) was the best player (23 points with 10/11 FG), but many players scored in double figures. 2.07 David Kolakowski ('93) had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. The difference in the total efficiency (142 to 24) shows many details. Sopot ended with a 68% on two pointers. At the other side Dariusz Wolak ('93) had 17 points (3/4 threes) and 5 rebounds, while Jakub Maksymiuk ('93) nailed 15 wth 2/4 threes, pulling down 7 boards.

Group B
-WKK Wroclaw 87 Zastal Zielona 56: Piotr Niedzwiezki ('93) made another of his particular shows leading his team to the second victory in two days. The power-forward collected a 37 efficiency behind 26 points (11/16 FG), 10 rebounds, 7 blocks and 5 steals. Again unstoppable for the rival. The first and third quarters became the key with +15 and +17 points differences. Beside him also shined youngster Jan Grzelinski ('94) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. For Zastal, guard Radoslaw Trubacz ('94) scored 14 points with 2/3 threes.
-Poznan 75 Lodz 59: 2.02 Szymon Milkzynski ('93) made one of the big performances of the day, giving the first win to Poznan with a 33 efficiency: 20 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists. After a tied first quarter a 26-12 run almost left the contest decided. Hurting at 3 points line (8/16) and dominating the rebound Poznan finally won. Guard Filip Nowicki ('93) tallied 14 points with 4/7 threes and 4 assists for winners. At the losing effort youngster Dawid Morawiec ('94) finished as their best element with 21 points (3/6 from downtown) and 3 assists.
