KK Dubrava became some days ago the new U-18 champion in Croatia after winning the Final Four tournament held in Slavonski Brod. Team coached by Nicola Piacun, after eliminating Zadar in semifinals, beat Cedevita in the big final (41-60) behind a great double-double of Mislav Brzoja ('94) -at the pic-, who ended with 17 points (3/6 threes), 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Beside him also shined Stipe Cubric ('93) with 12 points, 7 assists and 6 boards. At the losing effort guard Jakov Mustapic ('94) tallied 15 points and pulled down 7 boards.
In the game for the 3rd and 4th final position KK Zadar beat KK Brod Svjetlost (80-91) with a good performance from Marko Ramljak ('93): 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. But forward wasn't alone. Emilio Banic ('93) added 19 with 3/7 from downtown and Eddi Jurjevic ('93) 18 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals. Who shined for hosts? Mario Matasovic ('93) collected a 30 efficiency with 24 points (10/13 FG) and 11 rebounds, while Matej Kljaic ('93) scored 23 dishing 10 assists.
