FC Barcelona and DKV Joventut will play tomorrow the big final of the U-18 Spanish Final Round, held this week in Porriño and Tui (Spain). Both catalan squads made it after beating their opponents today in semifinals. What happened in both contests? Check it.

 

Unicaja Malaga 47 FC Barcelona 51: Is not normal find a team with a 39 valoration at the end of the game, and winning it. This happened today with FC Barcelona. Team coached by Borja Comenge, with swedish Nick Spires ('94) having 12 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist, beat Unicaja even the massive contest of african Maodo Nguirane ('93): 10 points, 13 boards and 7 blocks. Czech Samuel Faifr ('93) also made a good contest, but not enough: 12 with 2/4 from downtown. For Barcelona guard Lluís Costa ('93) had 10 points and 5 steals, while Josep Pérez ('94) scored an important 3-pointer after the whole team was 0/14 with one minute remaining.

 

Fuenlabrada 65 DKV Joventut 67: After an overtime Badalona kids made it to the final behind Álex Suárez ('93), at the pic. The power-forward scored 23 points (4/10 threes), grabbed 10 rebounds and made 5 steals. Beside him youngster Agustí Sans ('95) collected a 14 valoration due to his 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals, even 2/8 FG. Once again portuguese Jonah Callenbach ('93) showed his skills, finishing with 27 points (11/24 FG), 3 rebounds and 2 assists. But wasn't enough. Team coached by Jorge Moraleda has been the bis surprise of the event, staying only one step from the big final.
