A new edition of the Adidas Eurocamp started yesterday in Treviso (Italy) with the same scenario as last years: a huge group of talented prospects ready to show their skills and potential infront most of the NBA franchises and a big group of scouts, GM, coaches... Eurohopes staff travelled there also to inform you about what's going on in the Italian small city. This year the NBA Draft can be one of the most European ones of last seasons, with some names ready to being selected very high. Congolese Bismack Biyombo ('92) -played with Fuenlabrada (ACB)- and Lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas ('90), from Benetton Treviso, made a couple of work-outs (they are not playing the scrimmages). Good decision? Bad decision? We will see. They expect to be lottery picks. Taking a look to the prospects playing contests in the event, the ones with more chances to appear between the best are draft-eligible German Robin Benzing ('89, Ulm) and early-entry (at the moment) Brazilian Lucas Nogueira ('92, Asefa Estudiantes). Let's check what happened in each yesterday's game.
Team 2 51 Team 3 58: Czech guard Tomas Satoransky ('91), competing in a great level this season in ACB and Eurocup with Cajasol Sevilla, ended as one of the big names of the opener due to a intriguing performance. He led the win of Team 3 with 13 points (5/6 FG), 4 rebounds and 2 steals, making 1/1 from downtown. He has improved a lot from 3-points line, so he is making the steps necessary to be one of the top European players of next years. Beside him greek forward Linos Chrysikopoulos ('92), from Aris, added 11 (5/6 FG), dishing 1 assist and putting 1 block. Also good job from Italian Nicolo Melli ('91), this season in Milano and Scavolini. The forward had 9 points, 3 steals and 2 blocks. At the losing effort shined French Paul Lacombe ('90), from ASVEL, ended with 9 points (4/5 FG), 4 steals and 2 rebounds, while Greek Nikos Pappas ('90) nailed 7 (2/3 FG), with 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Important the performance of the youngest player in the Eurocamp: danish Rasmus Larsen ('94). 7 points (3/4 FG), 1 rebound and 1 steal in 18 minutes. Not bad.
