The U-16 Polish Final Round has been played this week, with the best eight teams of the country competing for the title. Finally Kormoran Sierakow won the tournament after beating Czarni Slupsk in the big final (50-72). Guard Damian Szymczak ('95) was selected the MVP after leading his teammates to the victory with 16 points (7/15 FG), 13 rebounds and 7 steals (averaged 19.1pt+8.0rb+3.4st in 9 games). In the contest also shined youngster Filip Pruefer ('96), with another double-double (15 points, 13 boards and 3 assists). For Czarni, that was losing by 19 already at half time, the best scorer was Wojciech Jakubiak ('96) with 15, but 5/15 FG.

 

The organization selected Szymczak as the MVP, while gave the All Stars award to Jakubiak (Czarni), Damian Jeszke ('95, Bydgoszcz), Kamil Czosnowski ('95, Komorow), Kamil Zywert ('96, Kormoran) and Marek Walczak ('95, Pyra Poznan). 

 

Final Standings: 1-Kormoran Sierakow, 2-Czarni Slupsk, 3-Pyra Poznan, 4-Medagro Komorow, 5-Novum Bydgoszcz, 6-Wisla Krakow, 7-Osemka Skierniewice and 8-Trojka Zyrardow.
