As happened some weeks ago in the U-16 Spanish Final Round, Joventut Badalona won today the U-14 title showing again why the catalan club is the best factory of the country. Team coached by Joan Rallo beat Asefa Estudiantes in the big final (61-71), held in Lanzarote, with a great contest from Andreu Nicolau ('97). The prospect was named the MVP of the final after collecting a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals), while his teammate Albert Real ('97) added 19 points, 10 boards and 5 assists. Badalona kids reached the final after beating Avinyó (67-48), Albacete (10-61), Nautico La Salle (49-70), Sant Josep Obrer (67-88) in eigthfinals, Cajasol Sevilla (61-87) in quarterfinals and Granada in semifinals (66-77). Is the third year in a row with Joventut U-14 team earning the title. In the U-18 category they lost the final against FC Barcelona.
Real, from Joventut, was named the Best Passer of the tournament, while african Bourama Sidibe ('97), from Canterbury Idecnet, was selected Best Scorer and Rebounder.
