Last summer, in Croatia, France won the U-20 Division "A" European Championship. There were prospects like Andrew Albicy ('90), Christophe Leonard ('90), Paul Lacombe ('90), Nicholas Lang ('90), Alexis Tanghe ('90)... One year later they will try to repeat this achievement with another generation, with some intriguing pieces as Evan Fournier ('92), Joffrey Lauvergne ('91) or Rudy Gobert ('92).

Last week-end they played the U-20 Logroño Tournament, in Spain, earning the title after three victories in three games. In the first contest they beat Turkey (66-58), and after they defeat Russia (81-48) and Spain in the overtime (64-66). In this last game Montenegrin-Spanish Nikola Mirotic ('91), from Real Madrid, scored 20 points finishing the event with 18.0 average. But wasn't enough. At french side Fournier nailed 18 and Lauvergne 11. They are on the good way.
