Turkey won the U-16 Baltic Cup, held in Lithuania, after finishing the tournament with a 3-0 record. In the last day turkish kids crashed Estonia (89-53) with Emircan Kosut ('95) flirting with the triple-double (12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks), while Mert Cevik ('96) added 13 and 4 rebounds and next phenom Okben Ulubay ('97) 13 points, 8 boards and 4 assists. What happened in their other two contests?

 

In the game against hosts Turkey won 77-63 behind Kartal Özmizrak ('95) and Cedi Osman ('95), who scored 14 points apiece. Finally, in the opener, they beat Latvia (75-52). Best scorers at the winning effort were Osman, with 14 and 4 boards, and Ayberk Güleryüz ('95) with 10 and 5 rebounds. Osman finished as turkish best scorer in all three games (12.0), while Güleryüz had 11.0.
