Andorra is the new champion of the U16 Division "C" European Championship, held in San Marino, after beating hosts in the big final (84-70) behind the performance of point-guard Jordi Moliné ('95), who was selected MVP after scoring 16 points, pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing 4 assists. At the losing effort Julian Gualtieri ('95), from Basket Crabs Rimini (Italy), nailed 38 (11/26 FG), adding 6 rebounds and 5 steals.

-Jordi Moliné ('95, Andorra): 19.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

-Juan Bustamante ('95, Andorra): 16.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.

-Aaron Falzon ('96, Malta): 27.6 points, 24.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks.

-Julian Gualtieri ('96, San Marino): 33.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 4.3 steals.

-Daniel Walsh ('95, Wales): 15.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals.

 

Final standings: 1-Andorra, 2-San Marino, 3-Wales, 4-Malta, 5-Principality of Monaco and 6-Gibraltar.
