In the first three games of the Eurobasket Jonas Valanciunas ('92) averaged 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7 minutes. No one understood that. But since the contest against Spain the lithuanian center has enjoyed of enough opportunities to show what kind of player is. In the last three games he is scoring 13.0 points, grabbing 4.7 rebounds and putting 1.3 blocks in 21 minutes. Yesterday, his graduation at the top-level with 18+5+2 (8/9 FG) in the huge victory against Serbia (90-100). Was the first lithuanian battle in the second round.

 

In another game of the journey Enes Kanter ('92) had 4 points, 2 boards and 1 block in 10 minutes in turkish losing effort againt France (64-68). Finally Spain started well the second round also beating Germany (68-77), with Ricky Rubio ('90) playing a good defense in the last minutes: 0/2 FG, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists (no turnovers) in 21 minutes.
