Season in basketball high school at States is making its first steps, and is good to see how the prospects have developed his skills during the summertime. New European prospects chose the American way to pursue their dreams and a few of them already showed their talents. Is the case of Amedeo Della Valle (’93), Petar Rusic (’94) and Kingsley Okoroh (’95) who joined the highly basketball rated Findlay Prep (Nevada), where other European like Lithuanian Benas Griciunas (’95) is playing since last year.
The Italian Della Valle selected this summer surprisingly play at Findlay, but he told us that was an option in April (link). Serbian born Rusic is one of the best prospects raised ever in Canada and his amazing scoring abilities are welcome in Findlay. After a great summer with the U16 England NT, Okoroh will try to show why he is rated 17 in our 95 rankings.
Last week Findlay Prep played their first game of the season, an exhibition and previously hyped game during FCP Las Vegas Fall Showcase against a team called Best of Vegas that included one of the best players of the nation, the commit to UNLV Katin Reinhardt. Della Valle hits the game winner to beat Best of Vegas 81-80 and finished with 6 points, 4 dimes and 2 steals. You can watch the entire game here. Check the Europeans Della Valle (#2), Rusic (#3), Griciunas (#11) and Okoroh (#33) doing their things.
