Let's check the third part of the article "Serbian 1997 generation is coming". Some days ago we talked about paint players, shooting-guards and small-forward. Now we will check some names of point-guards. Good prospects there. Read their characteristics, strenghts and weaknesses.

Stefan Jevdjenijevic (5'1'') -at the pic-, 26.09.1997. Belgrade. Team: KK Partizan Belgrade. Stefan is a classic point guard, which is very stable mentally. He is left-handed, with great overview of the game, and feeling for the pass. Good penetrations to the paint, many times with a player "on the back", but physically strong enough to keep the 1x1 fight. Always helping his teammates, without the great desire to score. Tactically and technically he is very well trained, with good recognition of the situation on court. His shot is not very precise, but he has considerable space for improvement. Good defensive game on 1 x 1, but a little weaker at weak side. Most of times using a dominant left side. Often overdefended by two or three rivals, but always looking for the free player. Good in transition at both directions, he knows how to dictate the tempo of game.

Luka Vulikic (5'10''), 18.07.1997. Belgrade. Team: KK Crvena Zvezda Belgrade. Luka is an extremely technical well-trained point guard. He shows a good range of moves, resulting in an attractive realization for his teammates. Accurate shot with the advantage that half distance used for breakthrough in the paint, when a defensive player approaches in order to prevent a shot. In the penetration he has no fear against taller players in the paint. Not so good defensive play in 1x1. A little slow in transition, especially from defense to offense. A good overview of the game used for timely assistance to his teammates. Physics is still underdeveloped, his real problem with the game against physically stronger opponents. This year will compete with older players (U17), which can help him physically to improve and get used to play stronger.

Aleksandar Milicevic (6'0''), 18.07.1997. Pristina. Team: KK Zemun Belgrade. Extremely explosive point guard, the team's true leader and commander in the field. Wants to drive the tactical ideas from his coach. He is one of the game carriers in his team, which creates additional pressure, with whom he is extremely worn. Aleksandar has very precise shoot from half distance. He is very docile in the execution of tactical ideas of his coach. He has a good overview of the game, especially in the initial phase of the offense, which means passing a long pass to assist the player on fastbreak. He is a good 1x1 defender, and tactically well-trained in the weak side game. Well placed for defensive jump. Aleksandar is excellent in transition, in both directions, especially from defense to offense. Weaknesses? He doesn't know to slow down the game when it is necessary, and also his extreme ups and downs in the game.

Also I want to mention and one of the best in this generation, Stefan Peno ('97). Serbian signed for Barcelona this summer and he is one of the leaders of his generation. Now we are just waiting for his nationality choice. If he chooses Serbia, perfect for this country 1997 generation. If he chooses Spain, Serbia will be considerably weakened, but with great quality players to become one of the favorites in youth national teams.

Next weeks we will publish articles of U15 Serbian league, with many of these prospects already mentioned.
