This summer, in Strumica (Macedonia), Eurohopes staff followed on live the U16 Division "B" European Championship. Interesting group of prospects there, like Kingsley Okoroh ('95) and Mo Soluade ('95), both from England. The two prospects were selected in the All-Tournament Team, and some weeks later they left their home country going to play to USA (Findlay Prep) and Spain (Unicaja Malaga). Another big name in that event was Naor Sharon ('95). The 6'3'' guard from Israel also made an important step in his career. He decided to sign for french Pau Orthez.
Sharon made crazy performances in Strumica, like the triple-double he collected in semifinals against England. Israel lost (94-84), with the guard ending with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. No way. Where is Sharon playing now? He is with Pau Orthez Espoirs team and coached by Laurent Villa, assistant of french U20 NT. He made his debut last week-end in the victory over Paris-Levallois (73-67): 7 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 17 minutes. He missed first two games because he was waiting for FIBA papers. Pau-Lacq-Othez is currently with a 1-2 record.
Eurohopes spoke with Sharon. "In Pau I feel like at home. I got used to live alone without my family very easy", explains the prospect. He adds that "my goals are to improve as much as possible and as a team are to take all possible titles".
