A new Todorovic is shining in Spain (he has no relationship with montenegrin Marko). He is only 17 years old and made his debut yesterday in LEB Gold with Unicaja Malaga farm team (Clínicas Rincón). He is a 6'5'' serbian small-forward born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who landed in Malaga some months ago from serbian school Sport-Key. He plays with Unicaja U18 team because he hasn't lincense in LEB Gold due to his passport. But american Mark Payne didn't play yesterday, so doors opened for the prospect.
Eventhough Todorovic wasn't enough against Grupo Iruña Navarra (67-68). He started the contest and finished with 15 points (2/3 twos, 3/4 threes and 2/2 ft), 2 rebounds and 1 steal in 25 minutes. Beside him 7'0'' bosnian Ognjen Kuzmic ('90) added a double-double (17 points and 11 boards) and Jose Pozas ('92) 9 with 3/8 FG. Really intriguing team with other names like Álex Abrines ('93) and Maodo Nguirane ('93). But Clínicas is last on the standings (1-8).
Last August coach Bozidar Maljkovic, currently at Lokomotiv Kuban (Russia), told to a Malaga newspaper (Diario Sur) that "my last two presents to Malaga supporters are Kuzmic and Todorovic. They will be good Euroleague and NBA players. Big ACB teams wanted them, but I told them to go to Malaga". Maljkovic coached Unicaja many years.
