Lithuanian Jokubas Svambaris ('97), from Marciulonis School, was named MVP of the U15 EYBL (European Youth Basketball League), held in Warszawa (Poland) last week-end. The 6'2'' guard led his team to the title with a 5-0 record. In the five games he averaged 13.0 points. Also lithuanian Karolis Tamasauskis ('97), 6'9'' from Klaipeda, was selected most promising player.

 

Marciulonis school reached the title after beating Wroclaw (73-48), GOSSM Warszawa (49-74), russians of Toljati (79-30), russians of Samara (39-68) and Sabonis School (66-56). Other players selected as All Stars were Kiril Butenko ('97, Toljati), Tadas Sedekerskis ('98, Klaipeda), Jegor Zurawlow ('97, Samara), Rokas Grabliauskas ('97, Sabonis) and Mykolas Dieninis ('97, Marciulonis). 

 

Final standings: Marciulonis School (5-0), Klaipeda (3-2), Toljati (3-2), Samara (3-2), Sabonis School (2-3), GOSSM Warszawa (2-3), WKK Wroclaw (1-4) and Pomerania (1-4).
