Przemek Karnowski ('93) has been of the big names of this week in Europe. 7'0'' center landed at Siarka Jezioro (PLK league) this summer and on September he was named MVP of the U18 FIBA All Star Game. The prospect, currently #1 at Eurohopes '93, is averaging 12.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in 26 minutes. We contacted with him some hours after a huge performance, his season-high. He became an important piece of the OT win against Anwil (109-104) behind 27 points (9/15 twos, 1/1 threes and 6/9 free throws) and 6 boards in 34 minutes.
"I feel good because my team won last game. Im really happy about that. I helped to get the OT. We won last three contests, but we want to play better as a team. I think we are going in the good way", explains Karnowski. The center adds that "last year I played in 3rd polish division. There are a lot of differences between both competitions. In PLK players are stronger and faster. Its the most important thing". What is his goal this season? Karnowski tells that "to be better player. I want to train my right hand, my quickness, to box out, p&r defence... There are so many things I have to work for".
Many NCAA coaches travelled last weeks to Poland to see and talk with the prospect. Karnowski says that "I'm thinking about the possiblity to going to NCAA next season. In my opinion it should be the best option for me as a player. But I haven't decided yet".
