We talked about croatian Lovro Mazalin ('97) a couple of times during last season, both wearing Cibona jersey in Budapest and Belgrade tournaments. But there he was invited. Actually the 6'6'' small-forward is shining with his real team (Petrinja) in the U15 Champions Cup, that started this week in Moscow (Russia). Croatians are with a 2-1 record in group A, only losing against Marciulonis Academy. But he is the number 1, the best scorer of the event, averaging 28.7 points and adding 13.3 rebounds. Not bad. The opener for him, great. Nailed 40.

Eurohopes staff saw him on live in Slovenj Gradec (Slovenia), in August 2010. He was one of the younger players of a talented Croatia, beside Marko Arapovic ('96). Some weeks later he was named in the All-Tournament Team at Hungary (Vasas Tournament) after leading Cibona till the final, losing against FC Barcelona. And in May, MVP of the U14 Belgrade Festival, in Serbia. He finished with a 33.8 index. Cibona lost to Fenerbahce in the final.
