Currently tested by polish club PBG Basket Poznan Serbian prospect Niksa Nikolic (’91) seems to be sentenced to playing basketball. Read interesting story behind him. It seems that Nikolic has never had different option than became professional basketball player. "I’m from basketball family. I can say that my father is a legend of Red Star Belgrade, where he spent 14 seasons, being team captain for few years. In addition my brother is still pro player, who had occasion to play for example in Germany or Russia", explains 20-years-old playmaker.

Nikolic before removal to Poland was playing in Serbia. He started season 2011/12 in Mega Vizura Belgrade being a back-up playmaker alongside talented Vasilije Micic (’94). It was mainly reason why Nikolic was getting only limited minutes, so he decided to change his surroundings. Serbian playmaker, who in 2006 year made his debut on international courts playing for national under 16 team on youth European Championship, got his chance in Poland, where coach Milija Bogicevic invited him on tests.

So far Nikolic played in Poland three - all lost by PBG Basket - games. Definitely the last one, against WKS Slask Wroclaw was his the best this year. In overtime loss Serbian prospect scored 12 points, dished out five assists and grabbed three rebounds in 34 minutes as a starting five player. He showed his natural feeling of game and impressive creativity. Right-handed playmaker has got really high IQ and court vision. Being primarily passer, who can easy find a teammate on free position Nikolic exhibited than he can score on many ways despite skinny body.

"Many Serbian players every year join polish league, so I expected a solid level of competition there. My first games were really stressful not only because I’m still young but especially because it’s my first time to playing basketball abroad. I knew that after 2,3 games, when I had got acclimatized to new coach system I will show up my abilities", said Nikolic after his best performance in polish league.
