Red Star Belgrade is the new champion of the U15 Champions Cup, held in Moscow (Russia), after beating Marciulonis Academy in the big final (73-66). 6'4'' forward Nikola Rakicevic ('97) was unstoppable for lithuanians, finishing with 28 points (8/15 twos, 3/6 threes and 3/4 ft) and 10 rebounds. At the losing effort 6'2'' Nedas Matulenis ('97) had 19 points (8/19 FG).
In the game for the third final position croatians of Petrinja defeated Samara (74-71) behind another huge performance of Lovro Mazalin ('97): 33 points and 9 boards. Wroclaw ended fifth after beating Khimik (53-58) led by Mihal Kapa ('97), with 30 points and 14 rebounds, and finally Riga was seventh after a final win against ToPo (58-43). In this contest shined youngster Arturs Strautins ('98) at the winning effort: 17 and 8 boards.
