And Dario Saric ('94) did it again. The croatian, with his particular show, led KK Zagreb to the title of the Euroleague NIJT Città di Roma tournament after beating Fenerbahce Ulker in the final (52-62) and winning MVP honors. The forward, #1 of Eurohopes in his generation, finished the contest with 21 points (9/13 twos, 0/3 threes and 3/8 free throws), 22 rebounds and 4 assists (even 8 turnovers) for a 39 valoration without resting. In the losing effort James Metecan Birsen ('95) fought, but struggled on offense ending with 11 points (2/9 twos, 1/8 threes and 4/5 free throws), 10 rebounds and 6 steals.

 

In the game for the third final position Virtus Siena defeated Stella Azzurra (83-78) behind another great performance of Amedeo Tessitori ('94): 29 points (11/16 twos, 0/2 threes and 7/13 free throws), 20 boards and 3 blocks for a 47 valoration. At local side Yancarlos Rodríguez ('94) battled with 22 points (3/5 threes) and 4 assists.

 

Who finished fifth? Gran Canaria. Spaniards defeated Maccabi (53-60) with a great Mamadou Niang ('94): 26 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Team from Tel-Aviv couldn't stop him. At the losing effort youngster Idan Zalmanson ('95) shined with 14 points, 5 boards and 2 steals.

 

Finally Virtus Roma finished last on standings after losing against ukranians of Dnipro (65-71). Alessandro Tabbi ('94) wasn't enough: 12 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist. For the winners Vladyslav Smyrnov ('94) had 23 with 3/4 threes and 1 board.
