German guard Phillip Daubner ('94) was the big name of the U18 Haris Tournament, held in Manchester (England). The 6'7'' prospect led Breitengussbach to the title after beating Magic U18 in the final (64-56), scoring 24 points (3/6 threes) and grabbing 9 rebounds. Ulf Schabacker, from the same team, received the Best Coach award. The players named in the All-Tournament team were Alejandro Blanco ('94, Cornellà), Max Hilger ('95, Luxembourg), Jordan Whelan ('94, Magic U18), Conor Porter ('94, Magic U18) and Johannes Thiemann ('94, Breitengussbach).

 

Breitengussbach reached the final after defeating Magic U18 (49-71), Scotland (66-30), England U16 (85-47) and Luxembourg (72-49). Germans finished unbeaten with a 5-0 record.

 

Final standings: 1-Breitengussbach (Germany), 2-Magic U18 (England), 3-Cornellà (Spain), 4-Luxembourg, 5-Scotland, 6-Solent (England), 7-England U16 NT and 8-Magic U16
