Janar Soo ('91) made yesterday one of the best performances of a prospect last days in Europe. The estonian small-forward led Rapla to the victory over Valga (77-104) behind a crazy show: 38 points (10/16 twos, 5/8 threes and 3/3 free throws), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Last summer he was one of the important pieces of estonian NT in the U20 Division "B" European Championship, held in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), taking the silver medal after averaging 13.6 points and 3.4 boards. Eurohopes talked with the 6'7'' player after his big game.
Soo, who is playing at estonian top division, explains that "first of all I am happy that my team won. That is most important for me. But I am happy with my own game too, everything went well, shots went in and my teammates trusted me with the ball. I'm especially happy because all my other games in Valga have been a bit of a dissapointment for me. Now the curse is gone". The prospect adds that "my goal for the season is to lead our team to medals in Estonian Championships and maybe catch an eye of some teams abroad".
