First round of U19 Serbian League has gone. What interesting happened in HEBA League? First place is currently occupied by unbeaten (12-0) Hemofarm Stada Vrsac, with such prospects in roster like Luka Mitrovic ('93), Nemanja Dangubic ('93), Djordje Milosevic ('93), Nemanja Krstic ('93) or big man Nikola Milutinov ('94).
HEBA Junior U19 League is great place to watch all the best serbian prospects in action. Now the league is in the middle of season. First part definitely belonged to Hemofarm Stada Vrsac, which is leader of standings. Nothing surprisingly, especially that it is possible to see names like: Mitrovic, Dangubic or Milosevic in Hemofarm’s uniform. Second place is currently occupied by Vojvodina SRB.GAS Novi Sad, but it is worth to admit that in second game of season Hemofarm crashed Vojvodina (102-82) with great job of Nemanja Krstic (’93), who went for 30 points on 12/17 FG in just 28 minutes. It seems that the most dangerous opponent for Hemofarm in decisive battle for HEBA championship is Crvena Zvezda. Although team from Belgrade is third with 8-4 record, but it is must be admitted that their leader Aleksandar Cvetkovic (’93) played just in the three most important games. So far he averages 21.3 points and 4.7 assists.
Eurohopes had got an occasion to watch Hemofarm - Crvena Zvezda game, which was won (91-82) by Hemofarm (stats here). Great impression on us made still underrated Nikola Milutinov, who played in 2010 at European Championship U16 for Serbia. Against Crvena Zvezda he scored 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. In addition he showed great body with long arms, solid defense as well as versatile skills in offense, what undeniably allows him to play in future on higher level. Our subscribers will get soon full scouting about Milutinov in newsletter.
The same record (8-4) as Crvena Zvezda has got Partizan. The other team from Belgrade was led by incredible Nenad Miljenovic (’93), who was averaging 16.3 points and 6.1 assists per game, but then was loaned to Mega Vizura Belgrade to replace injured Vasilije Micic (’94). Despite so big loss Partizan is still considered as a one of front-runner to win HEBA league because of great job by Nemanja Miskovic (’93).
