Past weekend took part in Barcelona (Spain) Spanish MiniCopa with the U14 teams of the eight participants of Copa del Rey. Best Spanish players born in 1998 or later and some international guests played at high level in front of packed crowd. Most outstanding player, not MVP of the tournament, was Slovenian Luka Doncic (’99) that played invited for Real Madrid. Although Doncic was one of the youngest players his character was a leading role in the team. Doncic is a 5’ 11” combo guard that drives the team and score easily. He averaged 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 3.3 steals per game.


Doncic finished MiniCopa with 65% from the field, the best of all players, and 47% beyond the arc. 
In the big final against powerful FC Barcelona, Real Madrid was down by 17 at halftime. Doncic took it personal to make a spectacular comeback and put his team only 3 points down at scoreboard. Finally FC Barcelona won the game 83 to 78 and the championship and Doncic finished with 20 points, included 4 threes.
