Last summer we saw him on live in Bilbao during the U20 European Championship. Once we recognized him we thought: "What is going on in Ukraine where huge players like him or Olexiy Len are appearing every year?". Artem Pustovyi ('92) surprised many scouts with his height (7'1'') and wingspan. He played only 16 minutes per game, but enough to be selected the best blocker (2.4) of the event. Lithuania suffered him, shocking against the prospect (22 points, 7 blocks and 6 rebounds) and losing. One of the ukranian hopes made Friday a huge step to become better player. In the Superleague Khimik lost to Ferro (82-75) but the center made his best performance of the current season: 16 points (5/7 twos and 6/6 free throws), 12 rebounds and 1 assist.
He needs to put more kilos in his body, but he made a good job against Ferro inside players. Worked very well in the rebound and made some dunks on estatic game. Doesn't have shooting threat but used as a weapon a correct hook to attack the rim. Interesting future player.
