Alexander Yanev ('90), one of the next bulgarian sensations, will play next season in the ACB. The 6'8'' forward has reached an agreement with Assignia Manresa. Team coached by Jaume Ponsarnau finished 12th in the regular season even having one of the lowest budgets of the competition. In the roster there are other European prospects such as icelandic Haukur Palsson ('92) and hungarian Adam Hanga ('89).

Yanev is currently playing for Cherno More in his home country. In January left to Greece (Kavala), but some days ago came back and last week had a crazy play-offs game against Rilski: 33 points (10/14 twos, 4/7 threes and 1/4 free throws), 8 rebounds and 2 steals. With Cherno More is averaging 18.0 points (37% threes), 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

Won't be the first player with bulgarian blood in Manresa. Kaloyan Ivanov, currently in Lucentum Alicante, played there.
