Montenegrin Marko Todorovic ('92) has spoken. Joventut Badalona power-forward, who has played this season loaned to El Prat (LEB Silver), has talked to catalan sports newspaper "El 9 Esportiu" after taking the decision to leave the team. He has averaged 15.8 points, 8.2 points and 1.4 blocks in 27 minutes. This June 30th expires his contract.
Four months ago he talked to the club to leave. The prospect explains that "I thought I would be in the ACB team, not with a lot of minutes, but at least there. I was tired. Wasn't a decision of one day to another because I deserved it. And I hadn't that opportunity". Todorovic adds that "I was very angry and I wanted to leave Badalona. Is not normal that a player under contract requests to leave, but I do not think I'm wrong. This year in ACB there were first four pivots, after five, and the next year in my position there are already three. I have doubts and my goal is to play in the ACB. Not saying I have to play now, but I want to play minutes, and I've never had the opportunity to speak with the ACB coach (Salva Maldonado)".
Todorovic also says that "the only thing I want to do is to play. And after maybe big contracts will come". Joventut already announced that they want him and will try to match the best offer to keep him. The montenegrin is one of the best European players of his generation still in the continent, like Rudy Gobert (Cholet), Evan Fournier (Poitiers) or Dmitry Kulagin (Triumph).
