Jahlil Okafor ('95) has been the big name of the U17 Invitational International Tournament held in Gran Canaria. The prospect, best center of 2014 class according to ESPN, led USA to the title averaging 22.5 points (75% twos), 10.5 rebounds and 27.5 valoration in only 20 minutes. Really unstoppable for latvians and aussies. 6'10'' center was selected the MVP of the event. Some minutes after winning the final Okafor, currently at Whitney Young HS (Chicago), explained to Eurohopes that "the gold medal is definitely the goal in the World Championship".

 

The american also commented that "has been a great tournament to prepare next week World Championship in Lithuania. I am happy after being selected the MVP but was a good job of all the team. We won, so I am happy for that". The center added that "in Lithuania there will be a lot of good teams, so what we need is to compete, go there and play".
