Antoher talented big man from Denmark is coming: Sami Eleraky. He is from great 1993 generation and even he has only played basketball for a few years the 7'0'' tall Dane will go to the states to play basketball for California Golden Bears (NCAA). Sami, with his 247 pounds, has a lot of talent. He is a good physical player, and is very quick and athletic for a man in his size. First time I saw him he almost couldn’t catch a ball, and now he has a nice hook shot, and is a good defence player in the Danish league. Sami mostly gets his points after open dunks and lay-ups. But he also has a couple of moves at low post including a nice little baby hook, and is already developing a pretty solid jumpshot. He is shooting 61% from the free throw line.

The club from California tried at first to sign Polish Przemyslaw Karnowski (’93), but fortunately for Eleraky did not happended and instead he put his signature, filling the center position under the basket for the team next season. California Golden Bears play in Pac12 conference.

Another Dane, Jonathan Gilling (’91), is also playing in Pac12 for Arizona State Sun Devils. He did a great job last year as a freshman, where he averaged 711 points and shot 41% from the three points line. Eleraky’s parents are from Egypt, and he has some younger brothers there also playing basketball. His little brother Adam Eleraky is member of the U14 national team in Denmark. This season Sami average 6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 25 minutes for Aalborg.
