Serbia arrived to the U20 Division "A" European Championship after a poor performance in a tournament in Turkey. But actually they are, joining hosts, the only unbeaten teams in Slovenia. Serbians have a lot of interesting prospects, and one of them is Nenad Miljenovic ('93). He is averaging 12.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists, with a great 75% behind the arc (6/8). After signing for Partizan 6'4'' guard was loaned to Mega Vizura, where has shined with 16.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Eurohopes talked with him after yesterday's win over Greece (86-69).
-The team is showing a really different face than some weeks ago in turkish tournament. What happened there?
In Turkey we had problems because some players came to preparation only three days before the tournament. They didn't know all actions and calls. It was very difficult for us to play well. We trained really hard when we got back and prepared well for European Championship.
-What is the team's goal in the tournament? What is your valoration till now?
The goal is gold medal. I think we are capable of doing it. Just need to focus on every next game because that one is the most important for us. We don't think too far.
-What teams do you see stronger?
Slovenia is a good team, and they have home crowd support. France looks good too. I think every team that comes to Ljubljana for the quarterfinals have its chances.
-What are the keys of the team's great performance?
We play together, with a lot of energy and believing in each other. We just try to play hard, improve every day as a team and be ready for the final round.
-How can you resume your season?
For me personally has been a great season on loan at Mega Vizura. I've improved a lot, playing hard at senior level. Has been a great experience for me. Here in Slovenia I have a great opportunity to finish a season in style with my teammates.
