One of the top 1994-born prospects Mislav Brzoja (’94) was looking really long to commit, however eventually landed in Villanova University. “I just needed a time for that procedure. I am very happy, the team is great, I like all the coaches, and we work really hard” - he explains to Eurohopes.

6-5 swingman has spent previous season in Traders Point Christian Academy, leading the team to 24-3 record and Indiana state Christian title. Upon completion of his school year, he went home to Croatia to represent his country at the U18 European Championship. Averaged 15.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in eight games in the games in August 2012, helping Croatia defeat Russia and Lithuania in its final two games to claim the gold medal.

There were some problems with your eligibility and you finally joined Villanova. Are you happy about that?

- I just want to say there was no problem with it, I just needed a time for that procedure.
I am very happy, the team is great, I like all the coaches, and we work really hard.
We are preparing for our season right now.

You probably have been in a new place for a couple of weeks. How your acclimatization is going?

- I acclimate really well. Campus looks awesome and people are rally friendly. The game is a different from what I was teach but I will get used to it by the time.

Have you already talked with Villanova coaches about your role in freshman season? What do they expect from you?

- They just told me to play hard, and not worry about making mistakes because I am still learning their style of game. They are helping me a lot a care about every player. I know if I work hard my time will come

You did play past summer at European Championship U18 and won another gold medal. Are you happy about that tournament and your performance there?

- I am very happy because of that Championship. We proved everyone again that this generation is one of the best what Croatia had. Also, I am satisfied with my performance, of course always can be better but we won the gold medal and that is only important. I can only congratulate my whole team and all coaches.
