- Jordan Brand Classic Camp was a valuable experience not only for me, but for every player who was there. This camp make us think how we must work to succed as a basketball players - explains Vasilis Charalampopoulos ('97), who was selected as one of 10 MVPs and will play in Jordan Brand Classic International Game. 

 

You were one of the leading players for Greece national team, which won in February strong U16 Turk Telekom Tournament. Are you happy with either your and your team performance in Turkey?

-  Yes! Of course. I am very happy! That was the best way for us to see what we can do as a team.

 

Another step for you was Jordan Brand Classic. How was it? Valuable experience?

- Jordan Brand Classic Camp was a valuable experience not only for me, but for every player who was there. This camp make us think how we must work to succed as a basketball players.

 

Eventually you were selected to All-Star Game and you're going to USA for International Game. What are your expectations?

- I think that no one was sure to be one of the ten. So do I, but I did my best and I did it.

 

Greek generation 1997 is really strong. Do you think you can win European Championship U16 this summer?

-  I don't know that right now. If we play as a team and we will stay healthy, we can do unbelieveble things!

 

What are your personal goals for the future? Would you like to play one day for Panathinaikos?

- Yes, my first goal is to play in Euroleauge for Panathinaikos. Then I want to continue on tha same level. I want to become a really big part of Panathinaikos team. But I need to work much to achieve it.

 

Who is your favorite player and why?

- My favorite player is Dirk Nowitzki because I think he has a good shoot, very good post up moves and he really plays with his mind. I hope to be like him one day!
