This Thursday kicks off in Budapest the Vasas Intesa Kupa 2013 for the 2000 generation and Eurohopes will be present to scout the best young prospects from the five teams that will join the competition. The Vasas Academy is presenting a very talented team with some lacks under the boards but the dynamic duo Zsombor Toth (5'5") - Adam Somogyi (5'6") is extraordinarily effective in this category and Oliver Honti (5'9") is ready to show his potential against top level opponents. From Serbia we will see on the court the KK Flash Beograd of Coach Bozovic, tough team which is betting on the offensive potential of the 2001 point guard Vladan Music (5'7") and on the solid defense of Nikola Rakonjac (5'8"); however, it is not to underestimate the contribution that the big man Kontantin Ristic (6'5") can give to his teammates. The Stellazzurra Basketball Academy can count on two all around players like the serbian shooting guard Vladimir Rajacic (6'3") and the italian forward Federico Miaschi (6'6"); meanwhile, Cibona Zagreb is trusting in the huge talent of Oton Jankovic (6'4"), one of the most interesting players of the tournament. Sabonis School Center, as usual, is joining this competition with a very competitive team and we'll keep our eyes open on big man Tomas Balciunas (6'2").
In previous years we have seen the best european prospects making their first steps in this important competition like for example: Milos Glisic with Partizan in 2013, Lazar Nikolic with Stellazzurra Academy in 2012, Luka Doncic with Olimpija Ljubljana in 2011, Nedim Djedovic with Barcelona in 2010, Lovro Mazalin with Cibona in 2010 and now we are ready to discover the next one.
