The Continental Youth Competition took place in Rome, at Stellazzurra Basketball Academy facilities where several interesting prospects from the generations between the 1995-2000 played in competitive exhibition games. All the eyes were on Jacob Larsen (C, 6’8’’, 1997, Vaerlose Basket) that due a slight ankle injury played one game but he showed all his improvements especially in his ability to run the court and also an important shot mechanics development, Dragan Bender (F, 7’0’’, 1997, International Team) that has improved a lot his shot from three points and enhanced all the aspects of his game exponentially, Andrea La Torre (G, 6’5’’, 1997, Stellazzurra Academy) that has perfected his playmaking attitude and his shots selection, Arturs Strautins (G, 6’3’’, 1998, International Team) that thanks to his tough physical structure his strong Personality showed good things. Honorable mentions also for the dynamic duo from Denmark composed by Kasper Christiansen (F, 6’7’’, 1997, Vaerlose Basket) and Tage Debele (G, 6’5’’, 1997, Vaerlose Basket) the talented Serbian playmaker Lazar Nikolic (PG, 6’5’’, 1999, Stellazzurra Academy).
