In the 5th edition of Turkish Prospects we talk about Dogus Ozdemiroglu and Berkay Taskiran, two more pieces of the next players generation of this country.

Dogus Ozdemiroglu (’96, G, 6’4’’, Darussafaka Dogus)

Ozdemiroglu having serious minutes with senior team of Darussafaka Dogus in TB2L. Coach Ene, who also played as a guard in his great and long basketball playing career, giving him the right role and real minutes so far. He’s very aggresive on both ends. Especially he can guard both guard positions very well, and can say that he’s a great defender. Thanks to his quickness and athleticism, he’s very good on open court. On offensive end, he can also shot the ball and it seems he can turn into a good shooter. Ozdemiroglu attacks the rim very well and not afraids to get contact but needs to be more smart.

Berkay Taskiran (’97, G, 6’4’’, Besiktas)

Taskiran, who performed very well last summer in Kyiv at U-16 EUC, moved to Besiktas from Yesilyurt at the begining of this season. Because of injuries, he was also in senior team roster against Fenerbahce Ulker last weekend. He’s very quick, great athlete as well. Open court game is very good but struggles on set plays. Off drible shot is very consistent but he’s not a good static or off screen shooter. Needs to develop his Point guard skills. Usually penetrates from the right side with right hand. On defensive end, he uses his quickness and he’s average defender.
