Galatasaray and Fenerbahce Ulker’s U-18 teams faced in Istanbul yesterday for the last and championship game of the U-18 Istanbul League. #10 of ’96, Ayberk Olmaz, #16 of ’96, Berk Ugurlu (he also played 10 minutes on Monday for senior team of Fenerbahce vs. Galatasaray in TBL, he had 2 points+2 assists), #37 of ’96 Ege Arar, #11 of ’98 Omer Faruk Yurtseven, and #21 of ’97 Egehan Arna all are played at the game.
Galatasaray beat Fenerbahce 61-50 in low scoring game and Ege Arar (’96) led the winners side with 18 points+20 rebounds+2 assists. Arar also had 18 points+23 rebounds vs. Fenerbahce in the first game of Istanbul league, just a month ago. Once again, he dominated the painted area on both ends vs. Fenerbahce and Ayberk Olmaz. He defended Olmaz also very well and Olmaz had only 4 points, 2 rebounds and 2 turnovers in 25 minutes of action. Second time in local competitions Olmaz score or rebound single digits this season (First also was against Arar and Fenerbahce, in Ankara at Development League).
Berk Ugurlu (’96) had 16 points+7 assists and Egehan Arna (’97) also added 15 points+6 rebounds for Fenerbahce Ulker. ’98 born Omer Faruk Yurtseven had 2 points+6 rebounds in 16 minutes of action.
