Wyoming has landed a commitment from 2014 Swedish Alex Gorski (’94). Gorski plays for Sunrise Christian Academy where he managed to attract interest from many D1 schools. The Swede took official visits to St Joseph’s, Samford, Wyoming and Loyola Marymount. George mason was also in the mix even though Gorski never took a visit to campus.

A very good shooter and shot creator Gorski can bring some firepower to the Cowboys backcourt along with some secondary ball handling responsibilities. Gorski played mostly as a point guard throughout the season for Sunrise Academy showing a great deal of improvement using ball screens and facilitating the offense. He’s not expected to be a full time point guard in the NCAA, however Gorski has shown that he’s capable of making plays when the ball is reversed after the initial action. Shooting has always been his biggest weapon offensively, whereas defensively Gorski has the size and effort to hold his own in the college game without being any kind of liability.

"Alex is a great kid and I enjoyed having him in our program," his coach at Sunrise Academy Luke Barnwell said. "He is very skilled and a high level shooter. He played the point for us at times and he became very good using ball screens. I am excited for his opportunity after Sunrise and look forward to following him".
