The NCAA season is still far away from the first tip off but these are the days for the first work outs. Let’s introduce some of the European players in this exciting season of College: 

1993:

Big man Przemek Karnowski (7’1’’, C, Junior, Poland) at Gonzaga averaged 10.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 25.3 minutes per game in his Sophomore year and after a very positive summer with the Poland Senior NT  where he averaged 9.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 19 minutes per game during the 2015 FIBA Qualifying Round, he is ready to lead the Bulldogs to ambitious objectives. Important season also for Boris Bojanovsky (7’3’’, C, Junior, Slovakia) -at the pic- at Florida State where he averaged 5.9 points, 4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 20.6 minutes per game last season, Alex Olah (7’1’’, C, Junior, Romania) at Northwestern Wildcats with 9.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 29.5 minutes per game in his Sophomore year, Kevin Larsen (6’10’’, F, Junior, Denmark) at George Washington with 11.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 31.2 minutes per game in the last season and Tomasz Gielo (6’9’’, F, Senior, Poland)
at Liberty College that averaged 10.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.4 assiste in 31.2 minutes per game during the past season.

1994:

For the 1994 European generation we will have: Sebastian Saiz (6’9’’, F, Sophomore, Spain) at Ole Miss with 5.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 19.9 minutes per game in his freshman year, Jito Kok (6’9’’, F, Junior, Netherlands) at San Diego where he averaged 4.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 26.1 minutes per game last year, Volodymyr Gerun (6’10’’, F, Senior, Ukraine) at Portland Pilots with 3.5 points and 2 rebounds in 11 minutes per game in the freshman year and Mislav Brzoja (6’4’’, G, Sophomore, Croatia) at Evansville with 2.4 minutes per game last season. The freshman are going to be: Michal Cekovsky (6’11’’, F ,Freshman, Slovakia) from Canarias Basketball Academy to Maryland, Petr Herman (6’10’’, F, Freshman, Czech Republic) and Simon Krajcovic (6’3’’, G, Freshman, Slovakia) from Canarias Basketball Academy to LMU, 

1995:

After a very productive summer with U20 Belgium NT for the Division B European Championship in Bosnia where he averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 30 minutes per game, Emmanuel Lecomte (5’11, G, Sophomore, Belgium) is ready to start his second year in Florida with University of Miami after a good freshman year with 7.7 points and 2.3 assists in 28 minutes per game. Same situation for Luke Nelson ( 6’3’’, G, Sophomore, England) at UC Irvine where he averaged 11.8, 2.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 29 minutes per game in the last season and also with 14 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 33 minutes per game with the U20 England NT during the Division B European Championship in Bosnia. Sophomore year also for David Taylor (6’3’’, G, Sophomore, Germany) at Pacific Tigers, he averaged 3.2 points in 9.4 minutes per game in his freshman year. Then, it is time for a lot of European Freshman to start the NCAA adventure: Vasilije Pusica (6’4’’, G, Freshman, Serbia) from Sunrise Basketball Academy to San Diego Toreros, Dusan Ristic (6’11’’, C, Freshman, Serbia) from Sunrise Basketball Academy to Arizona, Matz Stockman (7’2’’, C, Freshman, Norway) from Canarias Basketball Academy to Louisville, Jakob Poeltl (7’0’’, C, Freshman, Austria) from Arkadia to University of Utah, Amar Alibegovic (6’8’’, F, Freshman, Bosnia) from Stella Azzurra to St. John’s University and Kerem Kanter (6’9’’, PF, Freshman, Turkey) from IMG Academy to University of Wisconsin.   

1996:

The 1996 European generation is ready to launch in the NCAA three high level big men: Domantas Sabonis (6’11’, F, Freshman, Lithuania) after a positive summer with U18 Lithuania NT with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 26.4 minutes per game during the U18 European Championship in Konya he’s ready to move from Unicaja Malaga to Gonzaga. Konstantionos Mitoglou (6’9’’, C, Freshman, Greece) spent the summer with the U18 Greece NT at the U18 European Championship in Konya averaging 8.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in 25 minutes per game and then he moved from Aris to Wake Forest meanwhile Gyorgy Goloman (6’10’’, PF, Freshman, Hungary) from Sagemont School will move to UCLA.

1997:

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (6’6’’, G, Freshman, Ukraine) had a very busy summer first with the U18 NT in Sofia for the U18 European Championship where he averaged 16 points and 4.7 rebounds and the with the Ukranien Senior NT for the FIBA World Cup in Spain where he averaged  2 points in 8.2 minutes per game. But now it is time for him to move from Cherkassy to Kansas.
