This year in estonian KML there are a lot of youngsters, and they are getting a lot of playing time. Some time ago Eurohopes tweeted about Rannar Raap (’92) -at the pic- of Pärnu KK, when he was the leading scorer in the league and his team was 2-0. His team hasn’t been so good lately, but he still plays great scoring averagely 22.0 points per game (6 games) and is still the leading scorer in KML. In Top 10 scorers we’ll find another Pärnu KK player, Toomas Raadik (’90), on fourth with 16.0 points per game.

Apart from Pärnu, which is fully a youngster team, the oldest player is 23, there are some other youngsters, who are getting a lot of playing time, and making the most of it. Martin Dorbek (’91) is the starting PG for BC Rakvere Tarvas this year, which also plays in BBL Challenge cup this season. Dorbek averages 5 points, 3 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 29.8 minutes per game. Other young starter is Rait-Riivo Laane (’93) for the Piimameister Otto/Rapla. Laane also participated in the Basketball Without Borders camp in Spain this September. Rait averages 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.5 steals in 24 minutes of playing time. Other youngsters have had few really good games, but haven’t held their high level through the rest of the games so far.
