Asiahopes talked with ZiJie Lu –at the pic-, selected in All-Asia Camp team, about his impressions of the camp, his past and his future:

How was the camp, was a high level one comparing with others that you attended?
I feel through this camp I learned a lot, there was the best coaches from US and China, all the best players in Asia were there and spending this week with them I improved a lot and learned many new things. I believe these things learned will help me chase and fulfill my basketball dreams.

What kind of player are you?
I’m standing at 6’10, currently playing at 4 or 5 position, but developing into a 4 for the future. I think my strength remains in my rebounding ability and defense, I should improve my aggressiveness and strength.

You spent one year playing in Spain, what's the biggest difference between basketball in Spain and in China?
From my point of view the biggest difference is that in Europe teams are playing better team basketball and are technically more skilled than in China, also the environment in the team is much better in Europe.

What's your plan for the future? Stay in Shenzen?
For now I will remain playing in China, but I do not close my doors to overseas teams, e.g. European or Australian teams (in the team I’m currently playing there were players that went from Australia).

Do you consider college in USA like an option for the future? Or do you think in stay in China and play CBA (Chinese League)?
For me I would rather stay in the CBA, right now I think the room for improvement is good and I should have a chance to play in CBA.
