PROFILE
Season Review - January 2026
By Albert Juncà
Guard with good length for his position and still underdeveloped in muscular terms. On the offensive end, Vaaks impacts the game with his perimeter shooting, showing a quick and clean release, both off the catch and when rising up in balance after the drive. He can act as a secondary ball-handler, relying on his long strides to attack the paint when defenders try to close out on him on the perimeter, tending to be more aggressive going to his right hand. Going left, he prefers to pass. He lacks explosiveness when he has to generate advantages off the dribble in static situations.
Defensively, he shows interesting lateral quickness to stay in front of other guards, but he needs to work on his toughness, as he doesn’t use his body well to stop the ball and struggles to absorb contact.

Vaaks is completely a child when you look at his body, being on a super early stage of development and he hasn’t even started to grow yet. He is a talented player who has good ball handling ability and uses hesitations dribbles to create space; although it is not very effective due to his lack of athleticism at the time to change pace at the moment. He is more comfortable playing off the ball where he can use his great shooting skills off the catch, showing a confident mentality and he doesn’t hesitate to pull the trigger from deep range. Vaaks needs to add more assets to his game which probably will come when his body matures.
