Season Review - January 2026
By Albert Juncà
Dayton uses him as a five most of the time, running sets to find him at the top of the key to stretch the floor or to play face-up situations from the perimeter. He shows above-average shooting ability from deep for a player of his size, with a fluid and solid release off the catch in pick-and-pop situations or with his feet set in the corner. His perimeter mobility and touch allow him to connect the offense, operating in handoff actions or reading cuts to make the pass. When playing as a screener in pick-and-roll situations, he is not quick diving to the paint and struggles to finish through contact against stronger bigs, or to win position by sealing the defender.
On the defensive end, his lack of toughness against stronger players in the paint is a major limitation, as he tends to get wedged out of position. He also shows slow lateral quickness when guarding close-outs on the perimeter, partly due to his high hips.
U20 European Championship - July 2025

L'Etang has been one of the main risers this season where he was able to make an impact in the A10 with Dayton. He's more confident and he's turning into a real shooting big. HM upside. Athleticism is nice, but not elite, and his physical archetype is not strong. He's narrow and thin: it doesn't look like he will get strong. His physical development will determine his ceiling. He's smart and he can shoot it (45.0% from deep in the event). Fair lateral quickness. He's a bit soft at times, but he has improved a lot under that aspect. Now he rebounds the ball hard. Positive trajectory over the last season. HM sized shooting big upside. Euroleague player.
Season review- May 2025

Dayton uses him as a 5. Drop big. Doesn't have the vertical leap to contest shots in the paint and can't stand against heavier players, so he just tries to stay at the level of the screen and do a solid job at backpedaling. Does well in ICE coverages as well as against middle pick&roll. Can't slide him to the 4 because it's easy to get past his closeout. On the offensive end, he provides above-average shooting versatility for a player of his size. Excellent release and use as a pick&pop player. No post-up game: lack of strength to move smaller defenders, easy to get in his hip.
ANGT Patras- February 2023
Big mobile who runs the floor well. An average athlete. Short arms for his size. Lacks explosiveness. Able to play some PF since he can stretch to floor. Didn’t shot the ball well behind 3p line but the form looks fine. Solid rebounder and finisher around the rim. Good positioning and understanding of the game.

L’Etang has a narrow and undeveloped body with already good size which seems that hasn’t stopped growing yet. He is coordinated for his size, but his important lack of athleticism and strength don’t allow him to do a lot of things on the court, especially at the time to play against contacts. His game is around his shooting skills at this point, being a great shooter off the catch thanks to his quick release and great touch. Plays far from the ball, moving well on the weak side to get shots; he tends to be very passive on offense though, not trying to do more things apart from shooting. He struggles a lot on defense, as his lateral mobility is super slow and he cannot absorb contacts, losing his balance every time. Poor effort and motor.
