Season Review - November 2025

Score-minded guard with average size by European standards and a solid frame, though he still needs to improve his explosiveness. He is fast in traffic and when attacking closeouts, but struggles to create advantages from static situations. When operating with the ball, he feels more comfortable driving to his right hand, in isolation or pick-and-roll situations, either going all the way to the basket or stopping for a pull-up jumper. To his left, he struggles to create or stay aggressive. A good shooter from different situations, he shows good off-ball awareness to fill open spots, and off the dribble he can create his own space to shoot, using his body to seal the defender. Although Atamna has always been in a main scorer role, this season playing with pros he is showing some flashes of passing skills, especially after pick and roll situations, reading the spaces, and controlling the pace to find the best option to pass. On the defensive end, he struggles with lateral quickness when guarding in space but positions his body well to contain drivers in tighter areas.

One of the biggest surprises from the event, Atamna was mainly known as a scorer coming into the tournament, and he proved his scoring-game at the next level here. He was able to get to the basket at will, and shot with some impressive splits during the event (62.7% 2FG, 48.6% 3FG, 93.3 FT). He was not surrounded by players who could create from themselves that much, so he was the main initiator on offense. Not NBA potential, since size limits him too much. Athleticism doesn't make up for that. Although, 6'4 guard that shown some room of improvement also under a PG standpoint. I think that during his career he will be able to play as leading guard as well. Motor is there, size as well. 

What impressed me the most from his showing in Ulm was the fact that he looked always in control. Rarely forced shots, he talked to his teammates, gave advice and stepped up as the true leader of his team. During this season he's playing in French 4th league and his improvements from  consistency and toughness standpoints were impressive. ProA potential.
