One of the top prospects in the event. Well-sized lefty guard with above-average size and strength for the position. On offense, he relies on his long strides to run the court both on and off the ball, using his body to absorb contact when driving and attacking the rim. In the half court, he can impact the game both on and off the ball, reading when he is over-defended to make the extra pass and generate advantages through cuts. He shows aggressive penetrations going from right to left and uses his physicality well when getting into the paint. When switching onto smaller players, he tends to be aggressive attacking the paint. Against bigger players, he usually looks to create space with side steps and shoot from the perimeter. Defensively, he has some ups and downs, often playing at a high stance on the perimeter and not being aggressive enough in pick-and-roll coverage. When switching onto bigger players, however, he is tough and strong enough to bother them in the paint.

Tournament MVP. His ability to operate with the ball, combining skill and size, is unique in the European landscape over the last few years. He relies on his long strides and explosiveness to attack the paint and slash to the rim. If he cannot beat the defender with his first step, his body usage is very effective, absorbing contact to finish or draw fouls. Unselfish, Joksimovic has the patience and the reads to find open teammates or the roll man in pick-and-roll situations. A rangy shooter from the perimeter, his release starts from a very low position. At the moment, his percentages are not consistent, partly because he takes difficult shots off the dribble. Very involved defensively, with a great mix of mobility and toughness, which gives him high switchability from positions 1 through 4.

The natural leader of his team, he doesn’t need to overact to get the attention of everyone in the gym. His late-bloomer body, mixed with his mobility and size, makes him a unique guard in his generation. Operating with the ball, he uses his body and long strides to attack the paint effectively and absorb contact when slashing to the rim. Sometimes, probably due to his high amount of minutes, he has ups and downs in his energy. He has very aggressive actions, punishing slower or weaker defenders, and at other times, he prefers to take pull-up 3s to avoid forcing another penetration. From deep, his mechanics start from a very low position, which allows him to shoot with more power from long range, but makes his release a bit slow. His percentages are still inconsistent, but it’s more due to the type of shots (guarded pull-up 3s) he takes than the release itself.

Player with NBA ceiling. Lefty, big-framed guard with a body already poised for the pro level. Offensively, he can fit at both guard positions, impacting the game both on and off the ball. When operating with the ball, he controls the pace of the game extremely well, depending on the team’s needs. Joksimovic shows excellent body control, allowing him to change speeds and directions very easily, relying on long strides and high-level reads to create advantages. Wide skill set when getting into the paint, controlling tempo and finishing in multiple ways. From the perimeter, he is a rangy shooter with incredible balance and fluidity shooting off the dribble. Defensively, he is highly committed, which is not always common for players carrying such a heavy offensive load. He can guard positions 1 through 3, showing great lateral quickness and strong use of his body and hands to apply pressure on the ball. Off the ball, he displays excellent positional awareness and instincts, adjusting his movements based on the ball.

NBA prospect. Tall guard with a narrow frame and long legs. His body should change a bit over the following years, as he will add strength and likely get a bit wider. His main qualities are coordination, change of speed and direction, and shooting range. He can pull up from way beyond the 3PT line: a lot better off the dribble than off the catch. Gets to the rim in unpredictable ways, drives with either hand, and has good touch also with either hand. Wide repertoire of finishes: floaters, dunks, extensions. Craftiest ball-handler in the tournament. Can create advantages through both ball-screen or ISO actions. Torneig L'Hospitalet- December 2024

Scoring-minded lefty combo guard. Likes embracing a leader role in tight ends. Plays mostly alongside other ball-handlers. The frame is narrow, but his dribbles are wide, and he has the burst and skill to create separation. Gets to his spots both in 1v1 actions and ball-screen ones: good at manipulating pace, direction and height. Can create his shot at all the levels, even though efficiency is still on the way: next steps for him are speeding up his shooting release and improving contact absorption. Already good at creating finishing angles with either hand. Doesn’t look to pass the ball, but his team lacked had poor off ball habits and played very stagnant. Defensively, he doesn’t put much effort at staying in front of the ball and struggles a lot as a screen navigator.

Standing tall and lean with a notably slender build, Joksimovic possesses a decent frame but narrow shoulders. He is remarkably agile on his feet, demonstrating solid vertical leaping ability, although he isn’t particularly explosive in his movements. A notable aspect of his game is his shooting ability; he utilizes a low release point, allowing him to excel as a shooter from long distance. Whether he’s shooting off the dribble or in catch-and-shoot scenarios, he displays a reliable and consistent deep shooting ability. Joksimovic's offensive game is largely centered around his three-point shooting or aggressive drives to the rim. He does not often employ mid-range shots. His effectiveness is particularly pronounced when shooting off screens, a testament to his skill in creating opportunities for himself. While he is capable of driving to either side, he demonstrates a preference for attacking towards his right, showing a tendency to exploit this direction more frequently. In terms of finishing at the rim, Joksimovic showcases his ability to create scoring opportunities through his drives. Despite his impressive offensive talent and variety of scoring options, he does face challenges due to his lack of physical strength. This limitation can affect his ability to finish through contact, a crucial aspect in more physical matchups. Nonetheless, he excels as the primary ball handler, displaying comfort and effectiveness in orchestrating the offense. Equally, he contributes significantly when playing off the ball, maintaining a strong presence on both ends of the court.

General overview- March 2023

Skilled, undeveloped guard. Lacks the strength to finish at the rim, but he already can change of pace and create shots for himself. Shows nice glimpses of driving ability and can dribble either left or right. Good at creating good situations for his teammates, better assisting shooters than bigs.
