The 6’6” wing has the physical and athletic tools to play at the next level, but his lack of a clear role on the floor, on both ends, and his inconsistency considerably limit his upside. When the level of competition rises, he’s not able to translate the offensive production. Physical wise he still has margin to develop his body adding more muscular mass. His offensive skill given the size, is high level: he’s smooth off the dribble, and he has soft touch at the rim. When he’s confident, he can score in various ways. Also, his defensive upside is remarkable given his length and mobility. Legit perimeter defender that can guard from 1 to 3 at this level.

Faye entered Ulm as a long-term developmental piece for the 2025–26 season, splitting time between limited minutes with the senior team and a larger role at the second-team level. The season largely reflected that developmental status. At 6’6”, Faye struggled to consistently handle the physicality and toughness of senior competition. His frame remains underdeveloped and lanky for top European levels, which affected his ability to finish efficiently and maintain consistency throughout the season. While he flashed his talent on several occasions against higher-level competition, his athletic tools are still more theoretical than consistently functional at this stage. He is not yet a reliable finisher around the rim and still needs physical development to better translate his tools. Perimeter shooting remains inconsistent overall, but there are encouraging indicators. On higher volume, he showed flashes of becoming a credible spot-up threat, potentially carving out a future 3-and-D role. His mechanics are fluid and the follow-through looks clean, although his body alignment during the load-up phase can become inconsistent. Off the ball, Faye moves well and rarely remains static, showing promising feel for spacing and relocation. Defensively, his versatility and physical tools are his strongest selling points. With a reported 7’1” wingspan, he has the length and mobility to defend guards and wings across multiple matchups.

Overall, Faye projects as a high level 3-man that will play key minutes in a European Cup team, and most likely will have a chance in the G League. While NBA potential is there - thanks to his frame and size - his consistency has to come along.

He played his most consistent basketball in the event. Late-bloomer with impressive length and raw athleticism. He creates unexpected deflections because of his tools. Still looks new to the game from a tactical standpoint. Offensively, he’s an opportunistic scorer with a high feel for cuts and offensive rebounds. Shows activity and willingness to produce at the margins of the game. He was a lot more productive from the 3PT line than usual, with improved mechanics and confidence. Hit some really tough shots. Excellent body language, which is really meaningful given it was his first experience with the French NT.
