This is where it all begins. That’s the motto of one of the best basketball camps in the world, The NBPA Top100 Camp. Run by NBPA, the National Basketball Players Association, this camp with more than 20 years of history takes part from June 14th to June 18th in Charlotesville, Virginia. Camp features highest concentration of top high school talent each summer. Invitations are issued to the Top 100 prospected, based on scouting reports conducted by John Lucas Enterprises. Over 300 Top100 alumni have made an NBA roster, including current players like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving. Also 18 alumni of the coaching program have gone onto secure a coaching job in college or the pros, post-retirement, including Kevin Ollie (University of Connecticut), Ed Pinckney (Denver Nuggets), Calvin Booth (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Luke Walton (Golden State assistant coach/New Lakers Head Coach).

Last season a few European players like Mohamed Abu Arisha (’97) Israel, Pol Figueras (’98) Spain, Federico Gallinari (’97) Italy and Texas A&M bound Eric Vila (’98) Spain participated in the event.

Balsa Koprivica ('00) Serbia, NSU University School (USA), 7'1 C.

Jiayi Li is one of the top centers in China and last year participated at Nike All-Asia Camp, being one of the most outstanding players. Babacar Niasse is a member of the U16 France national team and already participated in two tournaments this year with France, U16 TBF in Turkey and U16 International Bellegarde tournament. Louis Olinde is a late bloomer that played at high level this season. Olinde won the Albert Schweitzer Tournament with U18 Germany national team and played the ANGT Finals with Alba Berlin. Lithuanian Tadas Sederkeskis is one of the best prospects of Laboral Kutxa Baskonia. This season played on loan with Peñas Huesca at strong LEB Gold in Spain and participated at Basketball Without Borders Global that took part in February during the NBA All Star Weekend. Sam Waardenburg was selected just a few days ago MVP at Nike All Asia Camp in Beijing, China. A couple of weeks ago Waardenburg brought U18 New Zealand 3x3 national team to the 4th place at FIBA U18 World Championship 3x3. Yovel Zoosman made his debut in Euroleague with Maccabi Tel Aviv this season and had a strong performance at ANGT Hospitalet being selected All-Tournament team. Balsa Koprivica is one of the top European prospects but still did not compete at international competition.
